6 months behind...yikes here it goes!

Today is New Year's Eve and as I look back at the year I realize I haven't blogged since July! Wow 6 months just flew by and so much has happened. I know I have done the picture order wrong, but here it goes...it is time to catch up!

First off, my family came up for Christmas this year and stayed a week. What a blast it was to have them here and to host Christmas! After Christmas we took a trip to The Fresno Zoo and had a really fun time!

Taylor & Hannah got to touch the Sting Rays. We were sad because we couldn't feed the Giraffes, next time!

The Kelley Family at the Zoo (Tay was upset because we didn't let her get anything from the store, HELLO it is the day after Christmas!!)
The family minus Justin and Kevin. Justin was taking the picture, but I am not sure where Kevin was.
Little Charlie Girl
Landie Girl

Opening stockings (my favorite part of Christmas)
Colbie got Jessie from Santa....she is in LOVE as you can tell by the expression on her face.

Daddy opening his presents from us...a new Dartboard!
The night before Christmas we made reindeer food and put it out and cookies for Santa.

Santa came!
We went to the coolest Christmas light show in Visalia. The guy is a customer at the Harley Shop and what an amazing thing he did! He decorates his house with lights and the lights play to the sound of music. He then raises and donates food. It was so neat we went twice. He dresses up as the grinch and passes out candy. So he let the girls get out of the car and he made it snow. So cool!

I had to work in the nursery at Church on Christmas Eve for one service, but then we got dressed up and went to 2nd service. They played awesome music, what a blessing the birth of Jesus!
The night before Christmas eve my sister in law Laine's sister invited us to her annual Christmas party. They have Santa come and pass out books (that the mom's bring) to the kids. Such a fun time as always!

Taylor's school had her Christmas Chapel. The kids get dressed up and sing CChristmas songs. What a joy to watch!

Taylor and her friends from school!
Taylor & Colbie love these girls!!

Decorating the tree! Love their attire! Have to be princesses to decorate!
Our baby turns 5! Wow where in the world does the time go?

Downtown Visalia has a horse carriage and Santa. I took the girls one Saturday while daddy was working. It was cool and they LOVED the carriage ride. Colbie wasn't too sure about Santa that is why I had to be in the picture.

Taylor wanted a snow white 5th Birthday this year so that is what we did! She got a Snow White Dress last year for her birthday from Disneyland and wanted to wear it! The little girls dressed up as their favorite Princess. We did make up and crafts, what a fun and exhausting day!

Lots of presents!
Goodie bags for the kids!!

At Thanksgiving we went to San Diego, while we were there we went to Bate's Nut Farm. I had never been what a fun place!
Chad and Laine hosted Thanksgiving this year. What a joy it was to have some much needed family time. The little girls got to play and had lots of fun!

Nana and her girls!
Precious girls!

We had lots of birthday parties this year. Taylor has met some adorable friends at school this year. Her friend Gracie turned 5! Taylor played dress up while we were there.
Silly clown.
Taylor and her friends.
I am in a mom's group and we get to do a lot of fun things and have made some amazing friendships. This is Taylor and her friend Ryan.
While Taylor was at school one day Colbie and I did a farm tour at COS Farm. Colbie loved all the animals. She is my animal girl. Just loves them.

Chad & Laine came up for Halloween this year. The girls got to Trick or Treat together. We went to a carnival at Taylor's preschool. My girls were super heros and The Marcotte girls were cows. Too cute for words!

Taylor's friends from school and her field trip to the Pumpkin patch.
My pictures are all out of order...but my mom's group also took a trip to a pumpkin patch. I love these women! They are amazing women who I have grown to love dearly.

Pumpkin carving!

Keaton's 3rd dinosaur birthday party.
Carson's 2nd Luau party

Enzo's 3rd Yo Gabba Gabba party
On my 30th birthday after a trip to San Diego the girls and I stopped by Disneyland for a quick trip. We had lots of fun!
Taylor started preschool in August and she loves it! What an amazing school!
Summer fun! A trip to the Frozen Yogurt shop.
Justin and I got to go to a concert this summer. I felt like we were back in high school . We went with some people from the Harley Shop so we got to ride a bike there and park up front. It was a nice date night!
The girls took some swim lessons this year. Their teacher was such a sweet girl! they loved her. Taylor is still a bit scared to swim from her scare last summer with her swim lessons, but hopefully this next summer she will be able to swim like a champ!

Mason's John Deer 1st Party ( Thank you Grandma Debi for making our adorable pillow case dresses)
And that's a wrap! One of my new resolutions is to keep my blog up to date. Hope it brings you a bit closer into the lives of The Kelley Family. We are busy and like to have lots of fun! Happy Halloween, Happy Birthdays, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Lots of love from The Kelley's!

Happy Father's Day...BLAH

Today is Father's Day, and while I know it is a day to celebrate those I love that are Father's, this year it is very difficult. I lost my dad less then 2 months ago and I ache everyday. I miss him so much I can't even believe he isn't with us.

Since I live so far away I often think he is still with us and I go to call him and remember that he is no longer here. It makes me so sad.

At church this morning the pastor went on and on about Father's and I did all I could to hold back my tears. I try not to let my feelings ruin the day for the most amazing man in my life, Justin. Without him I just wouldn't be able to get through this. He is the best husband and father to our daughters then I could have ever asked for. I like to think that GOD knew he was going to take my dad from me WAY too EARLY and so he gave me Justin.

My dad and I had our ups and downs in our relationship, but as I became a Mother we became really close. He called me all the time and checked on me and the girls. I miss him so much! He was an amazing grandfather and the girls adored him. We all wear necklaces with his picture on it and they say "Papa". It breaks and melts my heart at the same time.

My dad was so funny. I try to remember all those funny memories that just make me laugh so hard. He always made everyone laugh....anyone he met. I miss his stupid jokes...I miss his laugh....I miss his pep talks.....I miss his smile.....I miss his phone calls....I miss his silly way with my girls....I miss everything about him and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss him.

Dad I miss you and wish you were still here for me to wish you a Happy Father's Day....life just isn't fair and I feel empty and saddened that you aren't here.

love you dad until we meet again.....Happy Father's Day!

Colbie's yearly heart exam

We took Colbie the day before her birthday to Children's Hospital for her annual check up with her heart. They told us that everything is the same as last year and she is good for another year, which we are so happy to hear. We just pray that her heart will last until she is at least 7 years old. She has a "leak" in her heart and will eventually have to have an artificial valve put in. But, we hope that she can make it until she is 7 because then they won't have to open her chest back up, they can go in through a catheter. AMAZING!! So pray for her that she makes it until she is 7!

Happy 2nd birthday to Colbie!

Colbie woke up on her birthday and we let her open the presents from us and the ones that came in the mail. Justin's mom and dad came out to visit too and they made it for Colbie's second birthday and party. Thank you grandma Debi & Papa Dave for the Minnie Mouse outfit, she loves it and looks so cute in it as you can see.
Colbie's second birthday was a Minnie Mouse party because she just loves Minnie Mouse! I was so happy with how everything turned out. Colbie and I weren't feeling 100%, but we made it through and managed to have a fun time. We had a HUGE turnout!! Wow she is so loved!

We got to open some fun presents, she got a ton of stuff! What a lucky 2 year old!

Justin's mom and I made the pillowcase dresses (mostly her, but I learned how easy they are to make)! They turned out so cute!
What a sweet girl we have! We love you Colbie Alexis, Happy 2nd birthday!
