New Year's resolutions/Goals

I have made myself a couple New Year's resolutions...and so far I know it is only January I have managed to do pretty good. I just take it day by day.

#1 to loose weight....I have been trying to loose weight since last January. Justin and I started P90X last January together. We started out strong, then by March I was having severe pains and realized that I needed to have my gallbladder removed (set back). After I healed I got back into again without Justin this time. Continued until May still no weight loss NOT EVEN 1lb! So I headed back to the Dr. to find out that I have a thyroid issue, which is working against my weight loss plan (set back). I was put on thyroid medication and still was finding it difficult to loose the weight so I starting seeing one of my brother's best friends at his weight loss clinic here in Visalia. I go once a week and lost 5lbs within the first month (started in November last year). Well, with everything going on with my dad I went down to San Diego in December and ended up staying a month so I was off my workout routine and eating habits, but managed to maintain that weight loss. So now I have been back on track this month in hopes to loose some more weight. My goal is at least 30lbs by my 30th birthday, I can do it!!

#2 to become closer to God....Justin and I went to church last Sunday to hear the pastor mention this class called Starting Point...this is where we can go and learn more about God and his story and ask questions. I have always been a believer, but I just need to get closer and learn more about the Bible and what it has to offer. Wow, it was a neat class. I have been reading this book my mom gave me at Christmas as well and it is called The Me I want to be - becoming God's best version of you. by John Ortberg. It is awesome and has really put things into perspective for me and who I want to be as a mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend. So with starting this class last week, starting Taylor in AWANA and me reading this book I am so much closer to GOD then I was last year! So I am on my way!

#3 is to book more Cookie Lee shows, get more recruits and to earn my trip this year! I was so close last year 3,000 points away which was nothing and I should have been able to do it, but I didn't. It is a new year and new chance. Along with my 2nd resolution/goal I am blessed with my Cookie Lee business and I love it! So I have faith in myself that I can do it this year! I want to promote and build my business and it starts with making phone calls. This is my least favorite thing to do, but I need to move outside of my comfort box and DO IT!

So hopefully, by next year I will be skinnier, closer to GOD and be a Cookie Lee star!

Family time....

So we ended up spending about a month at my mom's before Christmas and for New Year's. We had fun, but I know that we are all glad to be home. Colbie and Taylor enjoyed playing with her Auntie Hannah and her friend Nicole. They played Cowgirl's and then we made some gingerbread houses. We got to spend some quality time with little Charlie too. What a sweet baby girl she is. A happy girl. The time was much needed with family as we are dealing with some tough issues these days....I am so thankful to have such an amazing family!!!

Christmas Day

The girl's left goodies out for Santa and in return Santa left goodies out for the girl's......they were so excited to run out and see all that Santa left for them. I always remember when I was a kid and loved to run out Christmas morning. My favorite thing was stockings...I still love opening my stockings!! All the girls got bikes from Santa...they loved them. Taylor still needs a little help peddling, but she will get the hang of it. And now that we are home we can practice.

And the girls got their pillow pets. Taylor has been asking for a pillow pet for months and was so disappointed when she didn't get one for her birthday. See how happy she is, she loves it!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Kelley family!! Better late then never, right?

Bautista Christmas party

I know all these posts are late, but I haven't been in town and had a chance to write them. Last month we attended the Bautista Christmas party...the girls had so much fun. Santa came and brought them some gifts and they read some stories. It was great fun! I love my Delta Zeta sisters!

Not so happy with Santa....

Colbie loved Mrs. Clause and her stories...
Thank you to the Bautista's for hosting another wonderful Christmas party!!
