Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day from the Kelley Family!! We had a very nice day. Started the morning off with some Pink Heart waffles, they were very yummy! The girls and daddy opened their Valentine's gifts and then daddy brought in some beautiful pink roses for me:) Made my day!! Of course once again I have the girls matching for the day.
Colbie likes to be in her sisters room and play with all her stuff.
Opening their little presents:) I told Taylor the night before and she was so excited and waited very patiently.

We then decided to enjoy the nice day and went for a walk down to the park. Colbie loved sitting in the grass for the first time. And Taylor brought her bubbles down and played with those a while.

We hope all of you enjoyed your Valentine's Day too!

Horses and Valentine's fun!

Awww my littlest Valentine, such a happy girl! Today was such a beautiful day outside so we NEEDED to get out of the house, so we went and watched my brother Chad rope in Tulare and the girl's loved it! They love being outside!! This is the 2nd time Colbie has ridden horses and she just loves the animals. Funny, Taylor was the same way when she was a baby. They are not afraid and never have been. I keep telling Justin that we need to get some horses and animals because our girls are just like I was. I NEED to get back into the horses because I MISS it so much! But, there is time! I know GOD won't take them away from me forever. We get to go to Nana's house and ride them there to. Well, I haven't ridden in a long time, but will one day:)
This is my brother's horse "Joe Baby". He is so kind and gentle and Taylor adores him. Colbie likes him too. She just cruised around and looked at everything.
She loves giving him "hugs". No, I am not scared...I was the same way when I was little. I trust this horse or I wouldn't let her. I would walk underneath my horse when I was a little girl. Hard for me to say no when I loved them just as much as Taylor does.

Colbie is such a happy girl ALL the time. Taylor was making her laugh in the below picture. This is Colbie helping us bake Valentine's cupcakes.
My little helper...she LOVES to make cupcakes and help. Step 1: fill pans with VALENTINE cupcake holders.
Step 2: mix with mixer
Step 3: after baking....this is the part she waits and waits for.....the FROSTING:) Don't worry we didn't hand any out this time:)
Step 4: Sprinkles....LOTS AND LOTS of sprinkles, as you can see she got into a lot of the frosting:)
Ready for church.....Colbie and her handsome daddy.

Yes, I LOVE matching them the same. There will be one day where they won't let me so I am taking advantage of it.
My beautiful girls!!

What has the Kelley family been up to? Well, we had our 4th niece born on January 28th, Josie Bentley....she is so cute and we hope to meet her one day soon! I have been very busy with my Cookie Lee business, which is so nice to get that extra income coming in. I have several shows booked for the next couple months which is great and I recruited 2 new people last month. Amazing!! I love my business!!
Taylor loves playing dress up everyday and pretty much is in her dress up clothes all day. So cute!! I found this adorable vanity at a garage sale for $10 and now she loves to play with make up and get all dolled up. Whenever we are getting ready to leave I tell her "let's go" and she says "hold on just one minute I am putting my make up on". Too smart she is!
Colbie is crawling all over the place and pulls herself up onto everything. She is such a happy smiley baby.
We had a nice day so I brought the girls outside. Colbie played on the swing while Taylor played with her 24 tubs of play doh:)
Chad & Laine watched the girls for us while we did our taxes last week and took Colbie horseback riding for the first time and she LOVED it! Then Taylor got to play with the horses and get dirty in a big huge pile of dirt. As you can see we couldn't get her to leave:)
We went to church today and it was amazing!! We haven't been since right before Colbie's surgery and I have been missing it. The thing is, it is in Exeter, which is far for us to drive, but it is where Chad and Laine go and we LOVE it! The pastor is wonderful and I get so emotional every time I go. We really need to get more involved, but it is just so far. Taylor loves going to Sunday school and gets to play with other kids.

Anyway, until next time!!

I realized that I have been going on and on about Taylor and haven't mentioned the fun things that Miss Colbie has been up to. She loves the jumper, boy does she love that jumper:) I love it too because it gives me some time where I don't have to hold her or chase her around. She is all over the place these days. She crawls all around and always wants to be in her sister's room. Taylor get's upset and shuts the door.
Colbie is the happiest little girl around. She doesn't fuss unless she is tired or hungry really. Most of the time that is the only time she gets mad.
Here she is crawling around the house. She also is talking a lot too. Babbles on and on. Too cute!! She sits in her big girl high chair now which makes it easier when we feed her and she is also in her big girl chair for the bath. She sits up all by herself now too. Getting so big so fast!

Thursday we had more arts & crafts day. We painted a birdhouse and did some heart paintings. Taylor loves her crafts. Colbie likes to watch from her bouncy:)

The past couple of days have been raining (which I LOVE) so I have gotten some major organizing done. I took all my shoes and piled them in the middle of the closet and cleaned everything out and vacuumed it all. Then I got rid of shoes and clothes that I don't need...feels so good. I went through all of my Cookie Lee stuff that is now in my closet since we don't have a spare room. I went through all of Taylor's toys while she was at Home Depot with her daddy, so I got rid of some of her stuff too. So far she doesn't even know. The kid has WAY TOO much JUNK!! I just don't have the heart to get rid of stuff, but it is out of hand. I also went though all of Colbie's clothes and closet. I am tagging the clothes I am not keeping for the Just Between Friends sale so I am ahead of the game.

Awww clean...love it!
We took Taylor to her dance class, she was so cute in her tap shoes and was so excited to go. We get there and she is peeking through the glass window and dancing around in her tap shoes as we wait to go in. The teachers open the door and say they can come in and Taylor refuses! Oh my goodness we just started and spent the money on the class and shoes and she won't go in. She was fine last week...ughhh! So we are hoping it was just a one time deal. We will see next week.

Taylor got a gift certificate to Build a Bear for her birthday (thanks Kelly, Randy & Keaton) so Friday we went with our friends Allison, Tyler & Carson. The kids had so much fun! Taylor picked out a pink tie dye bear, a pink princess shirt for her and named her Dancer.
They got to stuff them, give them baths, get them dressed and print birth certificates for them. What a neat place. She loves her bear and sleeps with her every night.

Taylor and Tyler her little buddy holding hands. They are so cute!!

This is Taylor on the drive home from San Diego...too funny!
Colbie and Nana:)
Camp Cookie with Gail. Amazing new line of jewelry from Cookie lee. The girls stayed with Nana and Papa while I was gone in Irvine.
I got to stay in a gorgeous room with a king size bed all to myself. I enjoyed the time alone at night, but was ready to see my girls by the 2nd day.
This was the first time I have left Colbie overnight (besides her surgery). She did great without me, but woke Nana up a few times throughout the night. Sorry Nana. Taylor had a blast with her Auntie Hannah too. Colbie brought home a cold with her that we are trying to get rid of. The girls had to get shots on Monday. Poor Taylor had to get a shot that was somehow missed from before and she cried and cried. Colbie got her 2nd booster to the flu shot and make just a squeak while Taylor was still crying. Tough little cookie she is. Then Tay got her lollipop and was happy, although she is still wanting a band-aid everyday for her "owie".

We made it up to her by taking her to a new dance class here in Kingsburg. This class lets her wear her "tapping shoes" and ballet shoes. She was so excited to tap and didn't want to take the shoes off. I didn't take a picture so I will have to update you next week with that. The best part is it is on Monday nights so her daddy gets to watch her too.

Today Taylor had a little arts & crafts day and made some binoculars for her and daddy:)

Arts & Crafts

Today we had an arts & crafts day. Taylor made Maracas and then a Valentine Love Tree. She had a lot of fun doing it. Colbie spent some time in her jumper watching us make our crafts. We are going to take the girls to the snow tomorrow and look forward to it as Taylor has never been.

We have been working on a schedule for bed times for the girls so that we can get more sleep. Who would have thought by putting them to bed EARLIER then they would sleep better? hmmm...it works! Colbie now goes to bed at 6:30pm and Taylor we shoot for 8:00pm. They take better naps and overall sleep better. To all those moms out there go buy the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth, M.D. It works!!
